These skills have been applied to an urban design proposal centred on the Canterbury Station of Sydneys new Metro Southwest. Urban Design ResearchStudents research a critical aspect of urban development and design as either a written dissertation or design thesis. They may return to a topic introduced previously and explore this in more depth or students may choose to research ideas and interests inspired by current advances in practice. International Geodesign Collaboration UNSW was the only Australian university invited to participate in this global collaboration that uses geographic, spatial and information systems to generate rapid, continuous, model-based feedback that can be used to advance performance and designs in urban climate innovation.
